Crewe Hair and Skin Clinic

The British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery has a great deal of useful information if you are considering a hair tranplant in particular. There are various types of membership which include non-surgeons working in the field of hair restoration. Nomination by a full member (who is a hair transplant surgeon) is required.

Hair transplant surgery is one of many options available for hair restoration, and for the correctly selected patient can transform lives. However it is not always the best option.
There are cases of active scarring alopecia where it can actually make the hair loss worse, and it should be avoided in young men in particular who are rapidly balding and whose hair loss has not yet stablised. It is really important to address any underlying causes of hair loss and to know what you are dealing with. There are a range of non-surgical options including PRP, medications and addressing underlying nutrient deficiencies which can help. The TrichoTest which will be available from the clinic again once the Covid-19 social isolation period is over is a very helpful tool in helping people to address hair loss using non-surgical methods of hair restoration.
