In the world of Hair Restoration, there are only a few opportunities each year for trichologists and others working in the field to stay up to date in this specialty.
The British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery put on a comprehensive educational event this year (within the Aesthetic Medicine Live 2020 conference) which, although mainly attended by hair restoration surgeons was a unique opportunity to be in the room and benefit from the knowledge of people working in the field of hair loss internationally. Some of the speakers travelled into the UK just for this event from India, Saudia Arabia and the USA. (see https://www.bahrs.co.uk/news/)
Subjects covered included the use of platelet rich plasma in hair restoration. This is available at this clinic, and it is helpful to hear about the experience of others about the technique itself, an its place in treatment regimes. There were lots of other helpful tips that I will incorporate into my own practice.
