The Science of Skin Regeneration
NeoStrata is a pioneer in hydroxy acid technology. These peels are highly customizable, allowing us to adjust strengths to suit your skin’s tolerance while delivering medical-grade results.
ProSystem Peels (AHA/PHA): Utilizing Glycolic and Mandelic acids, these are the “workhorses” of skin health. They are exceptional for clearing ingrown hairs and treating back acne (Clarify) by deeply exfoliating the follicular lining.
Neostrata Prosystem peels are high concentration Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) peels applied by a professional in the clinic.
Neostrata ProSystem Facial Protocols target multiple skin concerns including Ageing, Skin of colour photodamage, Adult or Teen Acne, Melasma, Rosacea and Sensitive Skin, Pseudofolliculitis Barbae and Keratosis Pilaris. Treatment can also be extended to the neck or hands.
Alternatively, Firm and Lift Neck Treatment or Renewing Hand Treatment may be offered as stand-alone protocols along with the other targeted Body treatments.
Peels can be performed at 3-4 week intervals, as long as the skin has fully healed and there are no complications. If the skin is not fully healed the period between peels can be spaced further apart. A series of 4-6 peels are usually needed for results with regular maintenance after that every 3-6 months.
A period of at least 2 weeks preparation with skin care is required before having this peel. Darker skins will need longer periods of preparation with skincare products. For those newer to peels, the aesthetician peels are a good introduction.
Retinol Peels : This high-performance treatment uses 3% Retinol plus a Volumizing Complex to dramatically firm the skin and even out tone. It is particularly effective when used alongside our Peptide boosters to support the skin’s structural matrix.
This is 1% retinol with Citrafill and Vitamin E. It is designed to exfoliate and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, plump and firm skin while promoting a bright, even and clear complexion. It contains soothing Bisabolol to help calm the skin.
Any kind of retinol used on the skin needs to be avoided for 1-2 weeks before the peel. 2-4 days of visible peeling are to be expected after the peel. It is recommended that products from the Neostrata Restore Range are used to help manage the symptoms after the peel.
These peels can help with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, pore size, uneven or rough texture, dull texture and acne prone skin.
It is recommended to wait 6 weeks between treatments.
It is very important to wash off the peel 6 hours after application.
