Blemish Removal

A consultation and assessment for procedure is required before a treatment can be booked.  If there is any doubt about the nature of the skin condition you may be requested to provide a written record of  a consultation confirming the benign nature of the condition from the GP or dermatologist.

As far back as the early 1900s, electrolysis (also known as diathermy) was being used for the removal of port-wine marks, broken capillaries, spider naevi, warts and even xanthoma (yellow pigmented spots or plates found on the eyelids).

Today it has progressed a long way and with ongoing improvements and modern technology it is a safe, comfortable and effective treatment still very much in demand today.

This clinic offers skin blemish removal of: facial red veins, spider naevi, blood spots, skin tags, milia, warts (freezing recommended), seborrhoeic keratosis, dermatosis papulosa nigra and small cysts.

Why is a consultation needed beforehand?

The consultation process is essential to ensure that your medical details are taken down and to assess whether you have any contraindications to treatment.

If there is any uncertainty about the skin lesion you would like removed, you will be asked for consent from your GP.

The condition of your skin will be established and the procedure will be explained to you.  For some issues you may be recommended certain skincare products to buy or be prescribed by your GP. This clinic uses the Get Harley service to facilitate you receiving product recommendations.

The consultation process will also help to set your expectations. Generally results are not instant. You will be given aftercare information either in writing at the consultation or afterwards by email..

It is important to know whether you have had cosmetic procedures recently or are using skincare products
