The Fagron TrichoTest came to the UK in the autumn of 2019, and this clinic was one of the first in the UK to start using it. It is a powerful tool for helping in the management of hair loss. It does not diagnose the cause of hair loss, but it will help to plan treatments so that people don’t waste time on treatments that are not likely to work. It is available from a range of professionals with different levels of training in hair loss conditions.
Dr Wilson, the director of this clinic was invited to discuss her clinical experience of this genetic test with an international audience of hair loss clinics. Participants will be tuning in from countries including Brazil, Belgium, South Africa, India and the United States.
A key message is that there are many different types of professionals working in the field of hair loss. There will be many different pathways of training, and some may not have undergone specific training.
