Who is this hair loss treatment for?
This is an in-clinic treatment for those who want help with dull thin hair. It is a scalp hydrator.
There have been case reports of benefits with alopecia areata, but there is more published evidence of benefit from platelet rich plasma treatments.
XL hair is a treatment designed for injection into the dermis of the skin of the scalp. It can be used on the scalp, eyebrow and areas of the body where there is less hair including the beard.
It is a CE marked device. It contains a non-cross-linked, resolvable hyaluronic acid whose hydration and stimulant actions are enhanced by a protective buffer that helps to prolong the effect. The hyaluronic acid is from biotechnological non-animal origin.
The restructuring and moisturising capacity of hyaluronic acid supplies the scalp with exceptional hydration.

After the treatment
After the treatment for at least 12 hours avoid extreme temperatures, saunas, direct exposure to the Sun or ultraviolet light.
Avoid applying skin products other than those advised by the clinic.
Side effects
These can include the possibility of pain, redness, bruising, stinging sensations and swelling, local inflammation usually usually disappearing in 24 hours.
Some swelling can also be experienced which should settle within 24 to 48 hours.
The treatment must be done on non-inflamed skin.
If someone is at risk of allergies a test this will be done before the first injection. People on anticoagulants will be at increased risk of bruising and haematomas. People should avoid taking anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin and Ibuprofen in the week before the injection.
The following people cannot have this treatment.
Skin alterations, skin disease, infections or sexually or streptococcal infections.
Patients undertaking therapy with steroids, immunosuppressants and autoimmune disease, on compensated diabetes, acute arthritis, angina and endocarditis. No studies are available for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How often should it be repeated?
It is expected that hair loss generally stops after the second session and hair starts to growth back after two or three months. A course of treatments should be carried out initially every 1-2 Weeks for a month then can be continued every 6 weeks thereafter.
For lasting results, it is recommended to continue with maintenance Mesohair Mesotherapy treatment every 3 months
How should I prepare?
Ensure that your scalp is clean on the day of the procedure.
Scalpfit shampoo is recommended for use 2-4 hours before the procedure. Apply the shampoo on the scalp, with gentle massage. Leave on the scalp for 2 minutes, rinse scalp with plenty of water.
