As this is a scarring form of hair loss, a prompt referral should be made by your GP to a dermatologist ideally specialising in hair loss. Urgency is required because once the hair is lost it cannot grow back. A dermatologist will be able to prescribe more potent medications which your GP and this clinic are not able to.
