What is the issue?

Chin treatment

Some people have an overactive chin (mentalis) muscle which can cause dimpling of the chin. This movement can sometimes convey the impression of doubt or indecision.

This  muscle can pucker when talking.  This may be particularly noticeable when pronouncing ‘f’ or ‘v’.

In some people the horizontal line across the chin can be seen as a sign of ageing. This can be softened by Botulinum Toxin injection (Botox).`

When will results be seen?

Results usually take 2 weeks to show.

How long do the results last?

Results usually last up to 4 months, but this can depend on a number of specific factors  related to the individual and some clients do experience different results.

Is repeated treatment necessary?

Yes – if desired

What are the important side effects to be aware of?

In addition to the usual side effects of Botulinum Toxin injections, there is a theoretical risk of weakening the muscles affecting the lower lip which could affect smiling, laughing, speaking, drinking and eating.
