It is fair to say that most beauty and aesthetic clinics were expecting to re-open along with hardressers on 4th July 2020. However on 3rd July 2020 the Government published legislation which stated that Spas and beauty salons should remain closed.
The legilation specified ..for these purposes ‘beauty salon’ includes any premises providing beauty services including cosmetic, aesthetic and wellness treatments’. [This] does not require the closure of a hairdresser or barber which does not provide other beauty services within…
During lockdown the clinic has adapted to be able to offer treatments at home with the intention of minimising the face to face contact at the clinic as much as possible. This now means that initial contact and consultations are taking place remotely. So far this has worked well. With the use of good quality photographs sent in before the consulation, and short questionnaires completed before the online consultation it is possible to start programmes for hair loss/scalp problems, acne, pigmentation, razor bumps, rosacea.
The clinic will be sharing on Facebook and Instagram what alternatives to injectable treatments there are which can be used as part of treatment programmes started at home.
