Razor Bumps – Caring For Hair

Razor bumps can be uncomfortable and can have a large impact on confidence. They affect mostly men of African descent with curly hair, and also women in areas which are shaved.

The bumps can have a cosmetic effect that can affect confidence and quality of life.

Many people suffer in silence not realising that there are medical grade treatments available (including at this clinic).

The type of treatment can range from skin care programmes to use at home and  skin peels in the clinic.

In more extreme cases laser hair removal can be used (but always make sure that the clinic is familiar with dealing with darker skin types because of the risk of burns or pigmentation issues).

It will be a pleasure to be part of the discussion on Instagram Live on Monday 15th June 2020 at 7pm with Lorna Jones,  certified trichologist with the International Association of Trichologists, where we will be discussing men’s hair health including razor bumps, alopecia in beards and men’s products.

Lorna has been proactive in raising the profile of hair loss in black people, having organised a sold out  event at the House of Commons last year on the Epidemic of Hair Loss in Black Women.

Tickets for the event are on Event Brite. https://barbers.eventbrite.co.uk
