- Chemical skin Peels
A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The skin that grows back is smoother. With a light or medium peel, you may need to undergo the procedure more than once to get the desired results. Some peels such as the Neostrata Prosystem peel don’t have downtime because the skin is prepared with homecare products beforehand
Chemical peels are used to treat wrinkles, discoloured skin and scars — usually on the face. They can be done alone or combined with other cosmetic procedures. And they can be done at different depths, from light to deep. Deeper chemical peels offer more-dramatic results but also take longer to recover from.
The chemical skin peels available from this clinic are:
- Zo Skin Health – stimulator peel and restorative peels which can be customized for a range of concerns in including weak, redness prone, dull and dry skin, oily skin, uneven skin tone, weak and sensitized skin
- Obagi Blue Peel Radiance – best for oily acne prone skin, leading to a tighter, smoother skin
- Neostrata Prosystem peels – for a range of skin concerns including sun damage, ageing, melasma, rosacea and sensitive skin, keratosis pilaris, neck firming and lifting, hand renewing, clarifying back, smoothing and polishing the feet
- Neostrata retinol peels – best for those fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, pore size, uneven and rough texture, dull skin tone and acne prone skin. There will be visible peeling for 2-4 days after the procedure. You may wish to start with the gentler Exuviance peels
2. Cleopatra – Hydrodermabrasion and microneedling. Using technology similar to the Hydrafacial (TM). This in-clinic treatment will leave your skin looking refreshed and feeling hydrated. This option is best for those who don’t want to use retinols or AHAs and want a really simple at home regime boosted by regular facials at the clinic. The first step is hydrodermabrasion which is exfoliating with a solution, followed by microneedling the solution into the skin to ensure that the skin is well infused. The treatments can be customised for: blemish prone skin, dehydrated skin, sun and age spots, ageing skin, skin texture concerns, red carpet treatment.
3. Microneedling with xcellaris protwist. Microneedling has overtaken skin peels in Australia because of the reduced down time. You won’t see the results immediately, but the controlled microtrauma will help you to build that collagen in your skin.
4. WOW fusion advanced facials with microneedling. This option is great for those who suffer with red sweaty faces because there is the option of Botulinum toxin.
