Complexion correction combines the benefits of evidence based active ingredients, especially 4-N-Butylresorcinol (a powerful tyrosinase inhibitor) with dissolving microneedle technology to provide improved results in managing hyperpigmentation, particularly age spots (solar lentigines).

Microneedle patch (oval shape – 4cm x 2cm) – each pack contains 16 patches. (8 weeks use)

Each patch contains 2,000 dissolving micro needles made of hyaluronic acid. And the tip of each needle contains: 4-n-butylresorcinol (4NB 0.3%), Retinal (Vitamin A 0.1%), Niacinamide (Vitamin B3 4%), Green Tea Extract, Resveratrol and Ferulic acid.

While Complexion Correction patches will have a small hydrating effect after just one use (due to the application of hyaluronic acid). Studies showing the real effectiveness of dissolving microneedle patches allow for 8 to 12 weeks

About microneedles

Technological advances have allowed skincare active ingredients to be incorporated into dissolving microneedles! These tiny needles can painlessly penetrate the skin barrier where they create a micro-wound. This sounds terrible but when the skin starts to heal it stimulates a cascade of chemical reactions that include growth factors to stimulate new skin cells along with collagen and elastin to rejuvenate the face. Secondly, the microneedles allow skincare actives to get past the skin barrier (or stratum corneum) to deliver critical ingredients into the deeper epidermis and dermis.

Although they are fairly new to the skincare game, dissolving microneedle patches have been successfully used to reduce hyperpigmentation. And even greater reductions in hyperpigmentation can be achieved when dissolving microneedles are used in combination with skincare (both containing 4-n-butylresorcinol).
