What is the issue?
Around the mouth wrinkling can be seen when the mouth moves or is still (dynamic or static lines). These are peri-oral lines
The static lines are caused by ageing and sun damage, but are also increased by the effects of smoking. This is presumed to be because of the puckering of the lips needed to keep a cigarette in the mouth while inhaling and exhaling tobacco smoke.
The dynamic lines around the mouthare seeen more commonly in those who are genetically predisposed and who purse their lips during the normal daily activities of eating, drinking and speaking. Smoking ciarettes, sipping liquids from a straw, whistling and playing certain musical wind instruments can also contribute.
When will results be seen?
Using Botox, results are usually seen within 7 days.
How long do the results last?
Results usually last 6 -7 months using Botox.
