In 2020, this clinic was one of the first in the UK to be using the Fagron TrichoTest for personalising hair loss treatments. In 2024 the report was updated this year to include more parameters. Clients are being contacted with the updated version of the Trichotest report to make use of.
There is no obligation to make a follow up appointment to discuss the report, but if this is needed then the follow up appointment is offered at a reduced rate. It is important to understand that the recommendations for topical medications should not be followed without fully understanding the context, and that alternative choices may be more suitable. There is a nominal fee of £25 to account for the time. The report has been run for female hair loss as this gives the largest number of recommendations. The report should be helpful in helping to understand your response to medications or supplements you may be taking.
This clinic is now working with a different compounding Pharmacy who can compound a wider range of TrichoTest formulations than the previous pharmacies. Generally their prices are more competitive than before and therefore are more affordable in the long term.
The new reports follow a standard format:
- page 7 of 26 to view the traffic light tables, of anti-hair loss drugs and medications
- page 8 to view the supplements (where it is blank there is no recommendation)
- page 10 for the formula for personalised treatments
- page 11 for oral treatments
- Page 12 for scalp and care hygiene
If you are a female with a non-scarring form of hair loss there is the opportunity for women with non-scarring forms of hair loss diagnosed at this clinic to participate in a study outlined on this page Pharma Hermetic Hair Recovery Programme Peptide Study is recruiting – Crewe Hair and Skin Clinic 01270 747 393.
